Smokin' Session are back people! After the huge success of The Session Vol.2 which was recently released on the label, this is the first release to drop and is the debut release from LJ & Paul Domino. The EP is titled 'Colour Blind' and is a classic example of what Sessions are all about. Loads of 2step garage influenced sounds with a solid serving of bass & floaty frequencies.

The EP starts with 'Purple Sound' which is straight-up 140bpm business with a serious amount of weight & shuffle. Heavy subs pulsate through the airwaves with a brilliant little chord progression on the upper ends of the track, keeping you locked in and hypnotised.

Then 'Saturn' continues the frequencies flowing and moves into more hypnotic sounds. Loads of pads and detailed beat patterns are at the forefront of the recording, while a bouncy baseline sits comfortably on the low end. A tasty little roller!

'Colourblind' moves the EP onto a deeper level but continues the theme of 140BPM driven music. Another pad filled beauty with precise beat work that is expertly delivered.

Last up on the EP is 'Invisible' which takes it up a notch from 'Colourblind'. Reminiscent of golden era Dubstep from the likes of Skream or Kromestar, the track brings you back to those good old days, yet still offers flavours of the here and now. Brilliantly produced and a pleasure to bump around too.
